If you use Virex® INIT from Datawatch® and experience un-explained crashes in the Bullfrog™ applications when the INIT is running, it may be necessary to reset certain options in the Virex® INIT control panel.
Open the Virex® INIT control panel in the control panels folder.
Click on the “Virex® INIT Options” pull-down menu and select “Installation Options.”
Change the load order of the Virex® INIT from First to Last.
Restart your computer.
If problems continue to occur, from the same pull-down menu select “File Diagnose Options.”
Make sure that the “Diagnose Files When Opened” box is NOT checked.
Make sure that the “Diagnose HyperCard Stacks” box is NOT checked.
Make sure that the “Show Icon While Diagnosing” box in NOT checked.
Restart your computer.
If you still have problems, follow the other troubleshooting steps outlined in the Virex® manual.
The conflict should be solved in future versions of Virex®. Be sure to register with Datawatch® to be alerted to upgrades in their product.
